Classes, projects, relationships, and community—all have a place in the School Alive day.
The school year.
School Alive follows a typical 180-day calendar from August through May. Full-time students attend Monday through Friday. All school times are Eastern Time.
Event changes are announced through school communications. The Quarter One Passion Show has moved to Friday, October 9, 6–8 PM. The downloadable calendar still shows the original October 10 date. See Events for the update and Gala details.
Seven HAMSTER periods. One Passion Period.
HAMSTER + Passion
Eight learning periods: 40 minutes daily on a traditional schedule, or 80 minutes every other day on an A/B block schedule.
United together
The day begins and ends with a five-minute United Period.
Time to recharge
A 60-minute lunch/recess period, with three- to five-minute passing periods between classes.
The seven levels rotate through the seven disciplines. Ask the office for your child’s current classroom timetable and arrival/dismissal arrangements.
